Why do we have to wear our seatbelts and these crazy motorcycle people don't have to wear helmets? It really should be up to us the drive if we have to wear seatbelts. It's our lives isn't it!

Should we completely do away with the amount of alcohol you're allowed to drink before driving?

Personally, i do. People take to it differently. What might take someone 2 or 3 drinks to fell tiddly, it might take someone else just 1. Should the law be changed? Thank you.

I've been thinking a lot about this lately, i've been seeing a lot of wreckless driving and when i peep to see who the person behind the wheel is, it happens to be an elderly person.
Now don't get me wrong, i love and respect my elders but i just much rather be in a car with a teenager who just got their license than w/ an old person who can't use his/her senses to their best potential.

(think about that old man who drove his car into several people in Santa Monica's Farmers market and killed 9 of them)

You can't see in the mirrors most of the time, you can't see almost anything when people shine lights in your face, when they don't dip their lights you're virtually blinded.
yet other people seem to fly past like your standing still.
Started driving in March, and frankly driving at night scares the **** out of me!

There seems to be a big problem with the whole issue of speed detection equipment. What is the problem....why do people feel so hard done by. If you obey the speed limits then you should be glad thet there is a system in place to adress those who don't.
Or do you not understand the differance in injury in relation to the speed? Speed limits are there not to reduce accidents....they will happen, but to reduce the sevirty of the injury sustained. Does this not make sense

Also, who determines this matter? Can the HOA levy fines against the homeowner if this situation is not specifically called out in the by-laws? Is this a city, county or state ruling?

I live in Florida

Ever see those boxes with cables that go across the road? The ones you drive over, but they're only there for a little while? What are they for?

Sat Navs are sometimes very unreliable but more importantly they NEED you to take your eyes off the road. Still they're legal. Mobile phones allow you to watch where you are going but they are ILLEGAL. It desn't add up to me. What do others think?

I wear vari-focal lenses and last year I reversed out of my drive straight into my sons car. I didn't even see the thing. It had been snowing and the car is bright red. I bumped it 6" over a snow rut. It was only then that I realised the extent of the blind spot vari-focals give. I then realised that at junctions I could barely focus on the oncoming traffic unless I was staring straight at it. I looked just like one of those nodding dogs! The fact that I was such a danger on the road (!) gave me such a fright that I immediately went to the Opticians and got myself a pair of single vision lenses to drive with. I am now back to my brilliant reversing skills. Am I the only one who will admit to this problem with these particular lenses?

if two identical cars collide head on while both are traveling at 35 mph would the wreck be the same as:

the same car hitting a wall and stopping dead at 35 mph - or

the same car hitting a wall and stopping dead while doing 70?

given all variables are taken out and the wall is the same mass as the car which one would be the closest to the head on collision

Yesterday i got into a accident. I have no issurance. The ticket and everything else is going in my name, so i assume they are going to come after me? The thing is i was driving my boyfriends car, which the car is in his moms name. Are they going to go after her insurance company to have the other car fixed and take her licsense away since i had no insurance?

"Well judge, a pedestrian hit me and went under my car, but I didn't know the speed limit applied after midnight anyway. However, I'm a really great driver."

This excuse actually has been used in traffic court, believe it or not.
