"Crazy motorcycle people"..............I like that!!!!!!!!!!
I happen to agree with you. While I have found myself wearing my helmet more often, it's by CHOICE. Mostly because it's getting cold, I'll admit, but it's still by choice. NH does not require seat belts, unless you are under 18. I don't have a problem with that. Minors don't get to make possible life changing choices.
The children wear thier seatbelts and thier helmets when we ride - they can't choose.
I've been an adult for many years, having made many choices, and I defend my right to choose.

I do agree with you becouse at least if you have an accident your safe in the car (provided you locked the doors) however my susin was in a moter bike accident. You have no seat belts to hold you but also the second person sitting behind the rider has to hold on so that is even more riskier. I know in some American States and in places in Asia motercycilists have to wear helmets if there is a person behind it. It is our lives i guess its just becouse the governmet want less deaths and this will help save us sometimes i suppose.
If somone crashes into you even though its not your fault i suppose you could get hurt and seat belts are there to stop it.

not all states let you ride without a helmet, and besides, think about it, in most motorcycle crashes you fly forward and skid across the pavement, in a car you fly forward, but are immediately stopped. Where a motorcyclist skids and in a sense gradually slows dow, as long as he doesn't ;land head first he will be less injured than someone in a car without ther seatbelt on making a sudden stop.

The regulation in Australia states that the driving force is in charge for the safety of all occupants, inclusive of that of donning seat belts. while you're pulled over by way of the police and that they do no longer seem to be, then no longer in easy terms do they get a great, the driving force additionally does. So in short confident.

depends on what state you are in where the motorcyclists dont have to wear helmets. They have to in CA it's state law just like seatbelts, and also if they are in the military they have to. Other than that it's just the state that you live in.

Yes it is your life. Unfortunately, are lawmakers feel it is in the best interest of the citizens of our country to protect themselves by wearing seat belts. It appears to also be in the best interest of the government as statics show you have a better chance of survival if they are worn. Not only will you likely survive but physical damage will be less to you and you can remain a tax payer much longer. There by providing more Dollars in Tax revenue that can be spent to care for illegal aliens.
Now it should make sense!

Most states require helmets these days.
The reason is: too many people have no medical insurance, so the bills for their sometimes extended hospital stay have to be paid by the taxpayers. Our Gov't doesn't like that.
Bottom line: they don't give a dang about your safety. They don't like paying your hospital bills.

Motorcyclist's do what they will. Like you say, It's your life.
