Why does my new SUV seem so much bigger than my car?
I just got a Land Rover Discovery 1998, I used to drive a Honda Accord and now a bmw 3 series. I have researched it and the cars are only 3-4 inches skinnier than the Rover. I like it but I feel nervous driving it and fearful of turns etc. How can I get over this? I like my Rover, just want to feel more comfortable driving it. Any suggestions? New SUV driver, Lady driver.

I've always wondered about this.

Im buying my first car within the next week or so and its gonna be like a little cheap reliable car im buying directly from someone. Dont the person have to take the tags off of the car? If so how can u drive the car without tags? lol.

Also what do i have to do afterwards? As far as going to the DMV and registering?

Thanks

My boyfriend and I are looking at trading our '95 Tahoe for a '99 S-10 that has a rebuilt title. The s-10 is in Kentucky and we are in North Carolina. The S-10 has a rebuilt title.. does anybody know the procedures for gettin a title switched over? Also, the guy we're lookin to trade with said somethin about, we can't drive the truck out of state without HIS tags because of the title issues? Can somebody please tell me where I can find out more about this or if you've had personal experience with it, how'd you go about doing it? Thanks :) 10 points for the one who helps the most :)

I always get confused when people talk about four wheel drive, all wheel drive, 4x4s, and 4x2s. Whats the diffrence between them all? And what do the numbers stand for in "4x4" and "4x2?"

I am driving through the continent to visit Italy by car this week from the UK. I have read that it is the law in Italy that motorsts have to carry all sorts of things with them in their cars: spare lightbulbs, red triangles, first aid kid, headlamp adjusters and even a luminous vest for each occupant of the car! The list of this junk is endless... and it is SO expensive to buy! More expensive than the ferry ticket by far!

It all this stuff really necessary, does anyone over there actually have any of it, and what happens if you don't have it? Is this just an excuse for bored policemen to pull over foreign cars and fine the drivers??

I have a 1991 Acura Legend that recommends premium gas (91 or higher)

I know that I will get worse power and "pinging" might result if I put 87 in it, but what I want to know is does my car have a ECU to retard the timing.

Thanks!

I do every chance I get. I wear easy slip on shoes in warmer months just so it's easier. Then again, I don't wear shoes unless I have to, period. So, do you? Why?

I am getting my permit soon and meanwhile I am thinking of the car I want to get. I really don't appreciate what's on the market nowadays. So I am thinking of purchasing a classic car, somewhere between the years of 1950's-1965. Such as Ford Thunderbird.
So my questions is, what are the rules for classic cars owners in the state of New Jersey?

Basically I've failed my practical driving test 4 times now, the first 2 i really wasn't ready for, the 3rd i had the supervising examiner AS WELL AS the normal examiner, so the examiner couldn't give me the benefit of the doubt as he was also being assessed. The last test i was 100% ready to pass but i hit the kerb on my reverse round a corner, everything else went great!! the annoying thing about that is a mate of mine passed a few days later despite hitting the kerb in his manouvres and indicating incorrectly!
I think what it boils down to is pressure to be honest, i'm not good with it. If something relies on me doing something then you can be pretty sure i'll mess it up. So does anyone have any advice?

NOTE: I DO NOT NEED TIPS FOR THE TEST JUST STUFF TO KEEP ME CALM

I took my driving test a while ago and failed for a manual test but can not get a manual car to practise in. If I decided to just do the automatic test instead is that possible? Would I need to take a different theory test?
