need to accelerate just a little as u r letting out clutch slowly the fordman answer is a real good way to burn the clutch up. i drive a 18 wheeler and know enough if u add about 50-100 rpms your take-off would be much smoother

Way too much clutch and not enough gas. Try this and see if it helps. The next time you are starting out, let out on the clutch until you feel it start to grab, then hold it there for a second, then let it out about an inch and hold it there, for a second, and now let the clutch out another inch, hold and then another inch. So until you can get the feel for the clutch and how it grabs, try letting it out in steps. It just takes practice and you'll have it down in no time.

It is best to do this in an empty parking lot or somewhere else that isn't crowded. You don't need other people watching you and making you nervous.

good luck.

Yep, they're all right. Ease the clutch, don't just pull your foot off of it. When you pull your foot off too fast, the car is bucking because it's sort of between stalling and running. Just practice, and you'll get the feel of it soon enough. Hell, when I got my first 5-speed manual, it took me nearly 2 weeks to get used to it and keep it from bucking.

dropping the clutch too fast.

this is a tip i gave my little sister when i taught her to drive stick...

mash the gas to the floor and drop the hammer, then come to a stop and do it a little more gradually, and do that like 100 times, going progressivly lighter and lighter, use a large parking lot.
