I have my license, but haven't much experience. I'm looking for something used, but good quality. It also needs to be a smaller and lightweight. What do you suggest?

I'm looking at a bike that only comes with a bill of sale. It was a salvage but has no title.

Is it legal to drive with a BOS only? What would I need to have done?

recently someone asked if getting a flat on a cycle, especially the front, was requisite to a crash where serious injuries and / or possible death was a given.. Experienced riders will probably agree, no two flats are the same.. There are a zillion variables.. However, in my 40 years of riding, one simple technique has saved me from catastrophic injuries more than any other.. Stand-up on the pegs ! This is a "must do " when riding any dirt bike ! Why ? Simple, LEVERAGE.. When you get a flat on a cycle it's basically like riding on marbles and ALL the advice given was excellant.. However, in my experience, allowing the cycle to loose as much speed as possible, till it's barely controllable, then standing up on the pegs gives the rider more leverage to handle the cycle AND puts them in a position to get off the cycle faster and "safer " when the inevitable tip-over occurs.. I realize my last flat experience is a rarity, but I literally " walked " off the bike before it laid down !

My life has changed and I have to sell my quad, it's a 2004. It's been used so it has some war wounds, but all are superficial markings that give it character!

Who said: "When my mood gets too hot and I find myself wandering beyond control I pull out my motor-bike and hurl it top-speed through these unfit roads for hour after hour. My nerves are jaded and gone near dead, so that nothing less than hours of voluntary danger will prick them into life...? and what legendary bike was he riding to prick his nerves to life ?. i hear there are some mopeds or scooters that you're allowed to drive that you don't need a driver's license for, is this true? If so, what kind are they (brands/models would be helpful)? Tried searching the Florida DMV for more info but that thing's even more messed up than the courthouse. Thanks for the help.

Ok spring is not here yet but the last few days have been proper biking weather. So when should you get it from winter storage and onto the road? Don't bother with fair weather rider stuff as I know I'm a fair weather rider and like it!!!!

Hi there fellow bikers :)

Ive got a bit of a dilemma here. Last year I went down the road with my beloved GSXR 600 - which I successfully repaired back to complete original condition myself and sold (even made a profit!). The thing is, I sold the bike due to family and peer pressure, basically my family and friends realised I was lucky to survive the first time and didnt want me smashing it and not being so lucky next time round...

Unfortunately, no matter how hard I try - I just cant shake the craving for the buzz I used to get on a bike and reeeeeally want to buy a new one.

Have any of you ever had your family against you with biking and have you got round it in any way? If so, what did you do? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.....

Ride safe, cheers.....

bryan

I've wanted to learn how to ride a motorcycle for a while, but have always been discouraged because of my weight. I weigh about 130lbs. Is this too light to ride a motorcycle and if so, what kind of weight would be recommended?
