If you have a full licence you can ride whtever you want. I went from a Kawasaki AR125, Took a 2 year break then went and bought a Honda VFR400. It was like sitting on a rocket ship to start with but it all comes back. Its like ridin a bike :0)

you cant and even if you could you would be a complete idiot to go from 125cc straight to 500cc you are much better working your way up to 500cc it is people who have not had the experience on a larger bike that are more likely to have an accident and also give bikers a bad name so use a bit of common sense and work your way up gradually you will be a lot safer on the road if you do

No...if you did'nt pass a test on your 125.
However,.....If you reach 21 , you can do 'Direct Access Scheme' which means you can ride a 500cc bike as a learner until you pass your test and then you can ride anything.
So you could, (technically), be riding a 125cc between 19 and 21 and then go 'Direct Access' at 21 without passing a test.

if you were riding a 125 for 2 years on a provisional licence the 2 year period has expired you now do not have a licence to ride,,you will have to take a cbt test again before you can ride a motor cycle again,, if you take and pass a motor cycle test and there are no restrictions you can ride a 500cc or any other cc
if in doubt ring the DVLA ,,the No is on the rear of your licence,,they will give you all the info you need

It depends what type of licence you have and how old you are. If you are 17 you can have to do the restricted licence you can only ride upto and including a 125cc. Then after 2 years i think you can ride any size motorcycle. If however you are 21 you do the das direct access licence that allows you to ride any size motorcycle.

if you passed the practical m/c test on your 125 then you should have a category 'A' licence entitlement, if you passed test on a smaller bike then you have an 'A1' entitlement,,,,,,,,,,, for 2 years on an 'A' entitlement you are restricted to 33bhp then can ride anything!!!,,,,if only 'A1' then you have to take another test for more power??
So the answer is YES if you passed d.s.a test on a 125
