Which is better? Do I need to use a fuel treatment and let it flow into my carb or is it better to just turn off the fuel to the carb and run it out of fuel?

I put sythetic oil in at 3k miles, and do not race it around. I typically go the speed limit, and don't attempt wheelies.
I perform other basic maintenance as needed, and would like to know at what mileage certain things start to go wrong (of course it varies between makes and how well a rider treats his motorcycle)

I'm a bargan hunter. And I need a bike of some sort to get around a big city and if you've got one please be honest about it's condition. Also I'm a begginer just now trying to get a license to drive (required by law in my state) one and and everyone needs hands on experience to learn to drive anything. ok been riding for 2 seasons now, yr1 started with 82' maxim400, yr2 91' cbr600, actually didn't notice that much difference from the two, never dropped either bike. i feel that i need something bigger than the 600cc. whats the best sport or cruiser could i handle after two yrs..5' 11 225lbs

Years ago (waaaay back in early 1980's!!) I remember de-coking one of my 1st bikes with a spray of aerosol down the spark plug holes, replacing the spark plugs the next day and on running the engine a huge amount of carbon / soot came out of the exhaust.
I have a bike in need of a good internal clean out but, am not able to dismantle it so I'm hoping this "magic stuff" rings a bell with someone who knows where I can buy it???
I often use Redex in my fuel to keep the injectors clean but, the engine internals (viewed through the exhaust port) look way too sooty for my liking.
Any help would be great,

ok what it is i was riding along last night and all of a sudden my scooter went really slow and then wouldnt let any more throttle be applied, it wasnt maxed out and it seemed like it was sputtering any advice would be ace ta but not any stupid comments like" throw it away"

I had a coupld of friends that have motorcycles and some that have cars. They don't pay for their own insurance but i wanted to know if by any chance if motorcycle insurance is cheaper then auto insurance. I know auto insurance these days are sky high. But since a motorcycle is a lot smaller, shouldn't insurance for it be cheaper for it?
