Not knowing the make and model of your scoot, the best I can guess is the most likely candidate: the air filter. It may have become blocked or clogged and just need cleaning, especially if it hasn't been done in a while. Filters for some scooters run "wet," and are soaked with a mix of engine oil and gas. Putting too much oil in the engine can back it up into the filter.
If you take it out and properly clean it according to your scoot's instructions and still have problems, then I would go the next step up and look at the fuel line and the throttle.

Yep - might be blocked fuel pipe or dirty carburettor. These modern scooters are tricky to get into, but you could try taking the bottom of the carb, unscrewing the jets and blowing them through. And clean the plugs (or 'plug') while you're at it. Old fashioned, but it .... might ..... just ...... work.

depends on ur exhaust type and quality of ur oil. ive worked on many scooters and found that the tip of the exhaust clogs up with thick black soot. use a very long thing screwdriver.also check ur fuel filler cap to make sure the vacume hole is not blocked.

Remove air filter, get engine revving as fast as you can,put flat of hand over air intake on carburettor, clears obstruction in main jet,
good luck.

may have run out of fuel / oil, I know it seems like a stupid answer but you may have run out of petrol if you have a dodgy oil/petrol gauge, and you might not have relised.
