i bought a engine from a 1975 xs 650 i took out the points and i put my bottem cover on with the electronic igntion but when i try to start it, it backfires out the carbs what would be wrong???

I have to turn to the right a little bit for the bike to go straight and I don't know how to get it back. I think you have to loosen the front tire to do it but I don't know how to do that.

well except for the 5 wires running from the engine into the cdi box after some trial and error i found out if i used the green wire and yellow wire i can power up a 12vlt lamp wich i am fitting to the bike but the power is controlled by the revs and as i increase the rpms slightly i blow the bulb im not an electrician im more a rough cowboy so what im i doing wrong before i fry myself <<

every bike has got some numbering like 100cc, 150cc, 180cc, etc..
my question is wht is meant by cc? wht does it represents?
wht is the difference bet those values?
also let me know other such features of bikes and cars ?

I have drained the oil from the oil tank but i can't figure out which way to loosen up the filter so i can change it....i have pretty much dented the hell out of it so far but it still won't move

Ok here's the thing. I just got my Motorcycle License and am looking to buy a bike. I looked around and finally got down to two bikes but am not able to decide which one I should go for. I am definitely going with a 250cc and my options are either Kymco Venox vs Honda Rebel (i am getting good deals on both for used bikes). So any suggestions?
