It seems so heavy and when I try to even put the kickstand, I feel overwhelmed.

Any other women out there that have this problem? Men don't seem to have a problem.

It's not a woman problem lots of people have the same problem. I've got a Kawasaki Voyager VII and I dropped it and the crash bars caught it so it didn't fall all the way over, still I could barely stand it back up.

A friend of mine bought the exact same bike a crashed it before he got 100 miles on it and sold it.

I suggest you take a motorcyle safety course there should be one in your area. If the bike is uncomfortable for you I'd trade it for an easier to handle bike. Triumph Bonneville is a powerful, comfortable bike, and doesn't weigh a ton. You might try one of those.

My first bike was a honda 305 scrambler, which I rode about 30 years ago. When I bought the Voyager I thought I had made a big mistake because it was so heavy and handled slugglishly compared to the scramber. But I got used to it, and appreciate the extra weight out on the interstate.

Good luck, I hope you find something that suits you. But above all be careful.

I have the same bike and am a noobie. Don't think about the weight ! All bikes are heavy, that goes away when you get it going. Try in a empty parking lot and learn. Take the MSF course. You'll be fine.
Of course if you don't get comfortable at all, sell it.

Practice in an empty parking lot until you get use to it. You'll be surprised at how fast you'll gain your confidence.

If you haven't taken a motorcycle safety course yet than take one as soon as possible.

You should go to http://www.msf-usa.org/ and find a beginner rider course near you. Take the class, learn to be a safe rider, if the bike is still to big sell it. The monitary hit is better than being a statistic.

Sell it.

If you can't ride with confidence, you'll panic when faced with an unexpected circumstance.

It could be fatal.

Get something you can acheive mastery over.

If you're terrified of your motorcycle, sell it. Start with something smaller.
