I posted yesterday, have a 93 civic ex 1.6l that isint responding when I turn down. The battery is fine I have tried a replacement. When i turn I get a click from the main relay and occasional sluggish light crank that dies after 1-3 seconds from the engine. I've recieved different opinions from auto stores 2 out of 3 said starter the other alternator, but they wouldn't test unless I could tow to them. I'd appreciate any opinions. Thank you.

My grandmother has an older model mercury sable. The car drags 5-6 revolutions before finally starting. It has been doing this for couple of weeks, so don't think its the alternator or battery. Belt squeaks, especially at idle, bad bearing in one of the pulleys or what?

While working on the car I touched the live wire for the alternator, the alternator emitted some smoke but a large portion came from the back of the engine block, already checked the coil and it appears fine. No power to any part of the car, battery is fine any suggestions.

Does anyone know where to find the paint color number on a 2000 Grand Prix. I just want to buy a bottle of touch-up paint. I have called our body shop and been to the parts store. The number is not where the body shop said it would be and the guy at the parts store couldn't find it. So far I have looked under the trunk lid, driver and passenger doors, in the glove box, in the console storage compartment, and under the hood with no luck. Found stickers with all kinds of numbers but so far no color. You would think the manufacturers would pick a spot and stick to it, but no that would make too much sense.

I had just put coolant in there last week and yesterday the light came on again. I looked in there and it was practically empty. Yesterday I filled it all the way up to the top. Today it was almost gone again. I felt around the bottom of the container and did not feel any holes so I dont know what is wrong. Could there be a leak in the tubes and if so how much will it cost to get fixed.

I noticed it the past 2 times I drove. My car had been in the sun with the windows up...but the ignition switch stayed hot for about 30 min...and my key was hot. Is it just taking a long time to cool off? or is something possibly wrong with it? Thanks.

It is a ball and socket joint but there is no space to maneuver. I tried to use brute force with one hand but it wasn't enough. Tools wouldn't fit either. Hope you can help.

I just bought a 1990 Mercury Topaz and it has several problems, one is that the front two windows don't work but the back two do, and when you click the button you can hear the motor trying to work, i checked the fuse box but it's good. The other is that the turning signals don't blink, they'll turn on but won't blink, i checked the bulbs and they are good, if anyone could help me out that'd be great
