When you say drag, do you mean very slow cranking? If it is cranking very slow, it may be a starter going bad.

you have a battery with planned obsolescence. Battery manufacturers be attentive to that over the years battery acid deteriorates specific varieties of steel factors interior a battery, so they make serious inner factors out of that cloth understanding that almost immediately after the guaranty expires, the battery will self-destruct. that's why once you purchase a battery, constantly learn warranties and purchase the longest guarantee for the least funds and be optimistic to maintain the receipt and guarantee place of work work in a ziplock saggy on your glove field. Then while (no longer if) your battery does not artwork, simplychronic to the region the place you purchased it and get yet another battery and funds in on the guaranty if it is no longer expired yet. If it is expired, do no longer purchase that kind returned. i've got been doing this ever considering i stumbled on the scam, and that i purely be attentive to i will constantly be paying lots per year for each year of the battery guarantee. there is not any way around it. .

get a new belt put on it and have the belt tensioner checked, if the belt is slipping the alternator isn't charging the battery correctly and your battery voltage is low causing the problem your having, charge the battery up and make sure all the battery terminals and cables are squeeky clean and try again and see if you problem is solved.

The belt may be loose, meaning your alternator isn't delivering the charge to the battery. Tighten the belt...
Replace it if it shows wear.
p.s. phil's nut's It has nothing to do with the plugs. If they weren't firing, the car would never start or run.

have the belt tightened and check the battery cables. sounds as to there may be some corrosion building up around the cables. that will cause the dragging you hear.if you don't know how to clean it take it to a garage to have it done. it is a simple matter.

Sounds like the spark plugs aren't firing. Maybe take them out, clean them and put them back. If it's fan belt is slipping (which would be the squeaking noise) it might be worth getting it serviced.
