Please include your specific year make and model of car as there are totally different ways to remove and replace these filters.
I have an 04 Camry and the filter is located behind the glove box. My Mercury Sable filter is located under the windshield wiper cover that keeps leaves and junk from entering the vents. My dad's Cadillac installs behind the firewall inside the engine compartment.
