The noise is only while driving and goes away when I turn to either direction or while idling or under more than average acceleration. I am 99% sure it is not a CV joint noise or an engine noise. I read somewhere that the Camry will develop a suspension noise after awhile. Is this the case? Has anyone experienced a similar noise? I did a visual inspection and found nothing loose and I tried to duplicate the noise while idling but to no avail. I pushed down on the front end to see if I could create the noise while idling but nothing. The car runs great and there are no performance issues or handling issues. Can someone help?

After I bought my new toyota, I began to read bad reviews for that car. I'm reading that they have bad transmissions? Is this true? I have a 2007 Toyota Camry LE 4 Cylinder.

Which car is most logical for a family of 4? I decided to throw in the Ford five hundred because of it's great safety ratings, AWD, and size. I am quite fond of the camry because of it's redesign along with the features and excellent MPG. Also the 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid really caught my eye, it has great MPG for an SUV of it's size and I love the new look. This will be for a family who lives in New York with a large of snow fall mind you.

I literally stopped and parked the car at the side of the road today, and was really scared that the car might blow up! I've NEVER heard such noise before.. sounds like an empty metal bin with rocks rumbling inside. This noise suddenly appeared, and I was driving at 25mph! The car has been checked at the dealership recently, and was noted in top condition: had a recent refurbished engine with the "works" put in, timing belt checked recently & in good condition. Oil change due, but not for at least another 300 miles!
When I got out of the car, the smell was smokey..then I was for real scared! Am I overreacting?

Had it towed to a nearby dealership, but it's not going to get looked at until Monday! :(

I hope I am overreacting to this... Why is there so much noise?? What could be wrong with my camry?
I hope to hear from you soon!

Do you like your car? Did you buy new or used? I'm considering buying one and I don't know which one I want. How is the basic upkeep on your car? Have you had any major problems?

If so, how did it go? How's the handling? Is it comfortable, easy to operate, etc. . .A review would help.

I have done quite a bit of research, and I would disagree with most people and say GM is the best car company. Just look at this http://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/2006/10/toyota_quality.html Toyota has had the most recalls in 06, and looks to keep it that way in 07. GM swept the NACTOY (North American Car of the Year) with their Saturn Aura and Chevy Silverado, a feat done only once before by Honda in 2006. Need proof: http://www.autoblog.com/2007/01/07/gm-sweeps-north-american-car-and-truck-of-the-year-awards/ In MotorWeeks Drivers Choice award the Saturn also won best sedan. http://www.autoblog.com/2007/02/07/chicago-auto-show-motorweek-drivers-choice-awards/ Funny thing? No Toyota models won. If Toyota was really the best wouldnt they have actually won a best model? Not just the most eco-friendly. If Toyota was really that good why is the Corolla placed 5/6 in Car and Drivers test of small sedans, and why is the Yaris dead last in SmartMoneys? You tell me why Toyota is so good.

ok i have a 93 toyota camry xle with a v6 engine in it. over the past month it had been occasionally hesitating, power surging, and having a low idle but not enough to actually kill the car. anyways we checked the spark plugs and wires they are fine, cap and rotor is fine, we cleaned the throttle body with that spray cleaner stuff, and my husband did the best he could at doing a general lookover at the car. anyways we had a similar problem last year so we changed the fuel filter which was beyond dirty and it fixed the problem immediatly. so we finally changed it again and it seemed to help the problem. we went almost a week without anything , then just today we were pulling out of a parking spot and as we started to go forward and accelorate the car once again started power surging a little. does anyone have any idea what could be wrong? also yesterday while filling up the gas tank we put in some octane booster to help clean the fuel lines could that have caused it?
thanks!

I had a 2004 Tundra now i have a 2006 I likeed the 04 and like the 06 not many changes. but i think they messed the body style up on the 2007. its ugly to me, i fell Toyota should have kept a similar body style full size 1/2 ton tundra and then built a bigger truck like they made of the tundra, for a 3/4 ton truck sorta like ford has f150 and f250 so on

I have a 10 year old Toyota Previa. I have been told the head gasket has failed, the rest of the car is in very good condition. The mechanic said that it would not be worth fiddling about with an engine that has done 144,000 miles. What should I do with it that will give me the best return.

I recently purchased a 2007 Toyota Sienna, and last night, after parking the van around 10PM, the alarm decided to sound off at approximately 4AM. Naturally, I assumed it was a break-in, so I checked outside and no one was around, so I turned off the noise and reactivated the alarm. Soon thereafter, the alarm began to 'chirp' intermittently and within 30-40 minutes, the alarm went off again! I even deactivated the alarm at one point, but it reactivated itself 30 seconds later! This became a cycle right up until 7:30 this morning when my wife took the van to work. I lost sleep, my neighbors were upset, and I didn't know what to think. The one thing, however, that we concluded, was the fact that when I had turned off the ignition, the windshield wipers were not completely down, nor were they turned off. I have since contacted Toyota, and was told that the wipers most likely were the cause, but without looking at the alarm, they couldn't be 100% sure. Any thoughts ... car experts?
