All parts at a junkyard are used. If your car is not over 5 years old a large yard will probably have a lot of low mileage wrecked cars. Tell them what parts you need and they will get them off a car that is not wrecked in the portion that you need. Most large yards are interconnected by computer now, so they can track down hard to find parts.

Many junkyards are very casual. Tell the guy or gal at the gate what you are looking for. If not exactly, they should at least be able to tell you generally where to find what you need. Bring a few basic tools with and start hunting. When you bring the items you want back to the gate remember it is called a junkyard for a reason. Many things you find & want can be a dollar or two. Very few things in a junkyard have a set price and the owners expect to haggle. P.s.~Avoid the dogs!
