The supra is not a piece of crap. Both of the models have a high potential. I used to run a performance shop. The owner had a 89 supra that ran 30 lbs of boost with a single turbo and a hundred shot of NOS. The only thing done to the inner of the motor was an HKS head gasket and ARP head studs to keep the head from blowing off literally. This was about 6 years ago and the car still runs like a scalded dog with no problems. The motors are almost indestructable. The newer Supras are faster and Toyota figured out the head gasket problems of the older supras. The newer supra motor can handle up to 800 hp with no internal modifications. Show me another motor that can handle more than twice what it was designed for without tearing it apart and i'll shut up.

It's mostly ****. This is coming from a giant fan of the supra(and i still am). Whats the difference between a 800 hp supra and a 1500 hp supra on the drag strip? None. They still run 8 second 1/4 miles.

Supra Mark IV... I think is the last body style made...92-98.....the most reverred of the models...the same one from the Fast & Furious...3.0 to 3.2 litre V6 twin turbo engine with a 6 speed transmission standard...it came with 400 horses...modified with HKS or G- Reddy goods...we're talking 500 to 1,000 horses...the average Supra tops off at 160 mph....modified...180 to 190 and over 200 mph is very possible..look around on the internet or pick up a tuner magazine...next to the late 90's Eclipse, early to mid 90's Mazda RX7, and the Skyline as well as the Silvias/240SX's ..this is one of the most desireable tuner cars ever built...during it's original production run, largely underappeciated and ignorred...now it is considered to be one of the baddest machines to come out of Japan..
