The car loses power when you put your foot to the floor. As you feather out the throttle it slowly gains power. Is it the throttle position sensor? any suggestions? thanks

Where to get an economical oil change done ? Would you take it to Jiffy Lube ? It is after all an oil change. My previous mechanic charged me $320 for a 20-minute job. I was aghast.

to build a truly special one of a kind mercedes 4x4,its a 4 door 98 rodeo perfect body 2wD to start with,removing anything that says isuzu,then putting a set of 1985 toyota 4x4 axles 513 gears -truck will be powered by a mercedes 240D 4CYL INLINE DIESEL w-custom made aluminum plate to allow me to mount the toyota 5 speed & transfur case,truck will run a set of 35x1250 -15 tires on alcoa wheels, w-4 inch lift, the plan is to have a factory looking truck with plasma cut mercedes congo badges inside out and all the best parts, my question is on my choice of 513 gearing is it low enough for the mercedes inline none turbo 4cyl Diesel motor ,its a very reliable engine, but my gearing needs to be a very good match, this machine must be built to last, driving to lower mexico and back many times, thanks for any help on this.

Why is this engine slow off the start ? if it wasn't for the low first gear it couldn't get out of it's own way. Is this normal or is their a way to supe it up?

and even after very good service over the year,maybe the trans is about dead or what?? how can any thing go so long without getting bad, even on a mercedes, they can't be that good can they,and if so how much money posibly to repair it --Tran's and the Rear Diff bearings? i understand its much different than a chevy or what ever to repair, but just how much different? thanks for any good info you can give on this, if you know about mercedes thats good cause i don't.

mercedes dealer ship replaced the block for free due to their mistake, motor and turbo now has only 40.000 miles on it, factory black paint and inside is leather tan,w-sun roof,, on a scale of 1 to 10 this car is a 8. smooth and clean top to bottom no rust, owner has all the paper's , and say's it get's 36 MPG on every trip, the drive line and speedo says 260.000, but the new motor is a plus yes or no? prev owner very service minded person,loved the car but got a new mercedes,he say's $4,000 is what it will take to buy it, no less, i want a quality car to drive for many years, is this too much money for that type of car? simple machine's with no computor 's in my mind is a good thing' tell me what you think, remember this is a very clean car never painted before and there is really no need too,mercedes make's so many different models i really don't know whats best and what is bad, just want it to last.-- thanks for your help.
