The last year of a C32 was 2004, the year in which I bought my car (2004 C230 Sports Sedan) which is a 6-speed manual. I love the car but it only has 189-HP and just as low torque. If you're set on manual you can get a C230 sports sedan and use after-market generation equipment to get an extra 60-80hp. Course that still won't get you to the 349hp of the real thing. I thought they made them in manual but since they are handbuilt engines and the last guy seems adamant maybe they didn't. I would check with a dealer

Nope, Mercedes has made a conscious decision to equip all AMG models with Speedshift automatic transmissions. Only the lower end, lower torque models are available with standard transmissions. Even the SLR has an automatic. This decision was made because AMG customers are not very interested in shifting for themselves, and the projected volumes for manual equipped C32's would not justify the cost of designing a new gearbox, as none of the current models can handle the torque of the 349 hp supercharged v6.

I'm also pretty sure there were a very small number of (if any- and it would've only been in Europe) AMG manuals... There are a few Non-AMG models that were given stickshifts in the states though.

i dont think there was EVER an amg stickshift. = Why many performance drivers go with BMW. Mercedes believes using both feet is too much effort :)
