If you are unable to ascertain the actual model from the documentation you already have, call Mercedes-Benz UK and give them the VIN number. They will be able to tell you the precise model. 0800 665415
Perhaps your insurance company wants to know WHICH 200D it is - is it C class, E class?
I am not aware of a 200D being available in the UK since about 1985. If your vehicle is as old as that, it could be a W123 series, which was made from 1976 to 1985.
I hope this helps

You need to present the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the insurance company.
In 1990 there were two 200D models made.
One the 300 series class (later to become the "E" Class and the other a 190 series (later to become the "C" Class" both with a 2.0liter deisel engine. I do not know if they were imported to the UK or not.
The manufactures designation for each class was 300 series the W124 and the 190 series W201

If you know the year the car was made, size, and type, one can easily determine the chasis type.
For example, midsize, 4 door, 1983 to 1995 (I think) is W124.
Once you know this W*** number, that should be all you need....
By the way, as far as I know, Mercedes-Benz uses the same naming conventions (such as E320, S500, etc) all over the world. The only difference is, they have different trim options in different parts of the world.
You are probablly talking about the smallest one they made.... Same as 190E, except it's 2 liter diesel. Is it the small 4 door? I think it's W201 chasis.

i do no longer rather have faith in any of those claims. the guy wrote it in a seventeenth century type english and the guy lived contained in the nineteenth century. is senseless! A god does not desire a human to translate something and to jot down it down. He could make his very own e book (or DVD or VHS). Now, that makes greater experience! additionally, you do comprehend that the church modifies the BoM specifically cases? what proportion revisions has it long previous by? there is not any reformed egyptian. Give them the vin number. That what they need. Or you could call an MB dealer give them the vin and ask them what chassis it is, 124,201, etc.
