The Hummer H1 is the most expensive SUV. Then maybe a Porsche Cayenne Turbo S. But that guy before me is correct

"luminous" is correct to a point. The G- wagon is only part Mercedes. The chassis is built by an other company the drive train is Mercedes Benz. Like the H1 Hummer it is a specialty vehicle that some how became popular on the street. Since its a limited production vehicle the cost goes up. They are great vehicles and will handle most any thing. To bad that in the US anyway they are viewed as status symbols and not the true off road king they are.

The G-class, or Gelandewagen, was specially produced in 1979 to fill military vehicle orders in partnership with the Austrian company, Steyr.
The G-wagen is much like AMG's Hummer which was built for the US military, later each were built as civilian models. Today, the Hummer is more capable off-road, but the G-wagen is still a more comfortable and better-balanced vehicle.
The high cost of the G-wagen is a function of the quality and difficulty of construction for this limited-production vehicle. It is the only vehicle M-B currently builds that represents the high quality and durabilty typical of Mercedes before 1995, when ad execs. supplanted the engineers in directing the company.

mercedes g-class is more expensive than any other "true" 4x4 vehicle cuz it is the most wanted car by others it is the best car in the world they have so much expensive stuff that they put in the cars

Maybe its a full import, and it does have the brand and statement that goes with it. Kinda like a Hummer H2?!

because mercedes got there brand name.it's so expancive and it's a high grade luxury vrhicle.
