I have never thought of it quite that way but that is the best description for that weird smell that I have ever heard. The dealer told my Mom that it was the type of leather they use. I think they need to buy better cows.

All German cars usually get this to some degree. Has nothing to do with leather. It is the glue sealant they use on the seals and doors. When the glue gets heated up in hot temperatures (summertime, etc.), they give off a waxy-crayon-like smell. Nothing to worry about.

I think its because all of the new cars in the Mercedes-Benz have a leather interior and i think that they polish the leather so that it looks very comfy. I think that smell is the leather polish

Seats are made from 100% old people – the smell never leaves
Why are you snorting crayons anyway?
