The ac doesnt click on and the rpm's don't elevate when I turn it on. I popped the hood and there are two fans...one on the left (if your looking down from front) turns on, but doesn't blow cold air. I live in FL and we had flooded roads and I am not sure if its the reason but I had some water wash up my hood a couple times coming from work. Now no cold air. I looked at the fuse box underneath the steering wheel but the diagram said nothing about the ac or a compressor which a mechanic friend told me to check. I had no idea about the fuse box underneath the hood so I will check on that. I am just hoping its a blown fuse because I don't really wanna spend a bunch on fixing the ac. I hope this might help you help me. Thanks again for the help.

Hi. I have a 91 honda accord. I have to drive 52 miles everyday (to and from school). I am trying to figure out how often I need to get gas so if any car aficionados know, could you tell me how many miles I get per gallon and how many gallons a 91 honda accord holds. As of now, I fill up my car every three days putting about 10-14 dollars in.

Suddenly started sputtering, drained all the anti-freeze behind me, then died! The engine obviously over heated...When water was poured into the radiator, it came pouring out of the engine block. I am wondering if this is the head? and if so, is it really worth fixing?

I am considering buying an used Honda Accord and I am wondering whether I should buy a 2005 or later model that comes standard with airbags for the second row passengers, or a pre-2005 model that does not have those airbags. My wife and I will be driving the car, mainly for grocery shopping or short trips around town, and we have two young children (one is 4.5 yrs old and one is 1 yr old). Both my wife and I are inexperienced drivers and we have hardly driven after we got our driving licenses (I am a graduate student and I take the bus to school). This will be our first car and we will be driving it for at least two years.

In my hayes manual it sais I can use engine oil 10w/40 yet
Local garage said NO use transmission oil
Shop : only has manual castrol 80W or castrol SMX-S transmission oil.

So how came the manual sais viscosity 40 yet you can only buy 80... there is a huge difference there in viscosity so what should i use and most important why is it safe to use 80 when manual sais 40 viscosity

The new key has a chip in it. The 98 Olds has 15 chips for that car. The dealer took his time getting it for me. When I got home, and tried the set out on the car, the key to the door worked, but not well. It' was not cut well. But it did open the door. The ignition key went all the way in, but did not catch in the right places to hook up, lock in, and turn. I wanted to get a file and work on it, but because of the chip, and the possibility of a mistake there, I did not. I have heard rumors of dealer ripping off the unaware in these cases. Can anyone verify this? I felt like I really had been taken when I left there. I just felt creepy. Does someone have advice on what to do when I go back? I can't take a man with me or I would. Giving them another $60 is out of the question. Agree? Thank you. I need more knowledge about the key and how it works.

I love my Civic, but I notice it makes a rumbling sound almost always upon acceleration. Is this normal for a continuous variable transmission? What is causing it?

We are looking for good gas mileage but are leaning toward the Element because we have occasional snow & understand it has all wheel drive. We also frequently have 1-2 teens and a dog.

Going back to my Honda Prelude Si. Is there a way of locking the rear steering mechanism without disrupting the alignment or performance of the vehicle. History is...the car was once RHD and because in Manila, we're LHD so it went through a conversion process. Since the rear steering mechanism is still on the right and I'm still using the original rack and pinion and steering on "robotics", the steering is a bit heavy (like when your power steering gives way). I'm awaiting for the LHD rack and pinion assembly to arrive but what do I do about the rear end steering? I don't mind locking it out.

Do I have to change the rear end too?

I welcome your feedback. Thanks so much!
