How much on an average to they charge to change your break at a shop including labor? Or to do them yourself how much do the breaks cost only? My sister has a friend that knows how to change breaks, I want to know the price difference so I can see how much I can/would save? I don't know a thing about cars. I have a 2002 Ford Focus.

I have a 1988 Ford Ranger V6 2.9L Standard Cab. I have noticed here within the past few weeks that the price of gas in my car is changing. Yes I know that the gas prices are constantly changing but what I mean is the amount that I put in my truck. Here about 2 weeks ago I my gas gauge was RIGHT ON THE EMPTY MARK so I filled it completely up for $25 then about a week later it said it had half a tank and that I filled it up for $20 then I filled it up the other day for $20 when it was at 1/4 of a tank left. My guess was that my gas gauge is messed up, so I started calling body shops and mechanics and they said that I would need to replace the sending unit. My local Ford Dealer said it would be a $161 dollar part, and it came with the fuel pump as well. Well I have a LMC Truck magazine and the same part is $119.95
Ok next one of the body shops that I talked to said it would need a sending unit but he also said something about there is another sending unit in the gas tank, and that has

When I was driving home yesterday the dash sounded like it was ticking then when I opened the door (van running) the windshield washer fluid started to spray. Later opened another door and the lights flickered on and off. This morning while driving all the warning lights flickered, windshield washer fluid spraying, the door locks going berserk etc... The van was running fine though. Any ideas on how to fix this without going to a mechanic? Please be serious with the answers

I am going to be buying an older mustang soon. I would like to put the biggest engine I can into it. A friend of mine said the '67 fastback was the best choice. I dont know a lot about older mustangs yet. Im trying to find out the differences in the fastbacks from '67 to '69.

I have a 2007 Ford F150 Special Edition Truck that my husband got for me before he left to Iraq. Right now I am having a problem...I need to know what is the name of the sticker that my truck has you know that one that the dealership applies to make vehicles look more stylist. Someone tried to remove mine and now it looks awful. I am scared that my husband may get after me so I am going to go to the dealership to have a new one applied. Please help and it's not the Molding Mountain Tape that I am looking for it's the other one the thiner tape. I am desprate. Does anyone know the signs of a Catalytic converter going bad? I have a 98 Ford Explorer it rattles when excellerating and a little at idel until it warms up and then the performance goes down hill drastically.

Is there anyway of checking Catalytic converters?

I need to know if the AXOD Transmission from an 88 Taurus will work and run fine in a 96 Taurus. Aside from the 96 having an Electronic control. What is the internal differnce in the transmission and why would it not work? I mean if I where to leave the harness disconnected from the transmission would the non-electronic AXOD out of the 88 run normal? Or would there be other issues? Not sure what else I can add to get my question across. If anyone has done a swap like this I would like to hear from you Thanks.

I saw a new Ford truck today. It was brand new off the showroom floor, still had the sticker in the window. It was a four door heavily modified with big tires, chrome rims, and a huge flared side fenders (not over the tires but on the side panels) and a flared hood. It looked just like the Ironside truck from the Transformers movie. I think it was a F150. I looked on Ebay and on Fords website and I couldn't find any reference to it. I have ruled out Saleen and Roush. Any ideas on what it is?

i drive a 99 ford expedition and it has been normal all day but now it wont start, it starts but wont stay on, this has never happened before so im not familiar with whats going on. and something else caught my eye, when it starts and cuts off the theft light blinks (this has never happened before), so is my car in like "theft mode" and wont start because it think its being stolen? i dont know but PLEASE HELP ME!

ok i have a 1989 ford probe lx and it has a bad problem stalling out right after it starts unless i have my foot on the pedal. it will even stall out when i am braking or just rolling when the revs drop below 1000 does anyone know what the problem with this could be
ive heard head gasket and injectors but i want to see if it could be a simpler problem before i go and rip my engine out

i have a 95 mustang but its a write off. the engine and tranny are still good so i was hoping i could drop them into the probe i just bought someone told me that it should fit although very tightly but if anyone knows if its possible or not please help
and if so do u know where i can get the engine mount
