Oh yeah, they had power steering available, but it sure as heck ain't what you're used to. Saginaw style power assist steering was a bear to keep up. You can find most of the hard parts on Galaxies, and even as late as 70's LTD's

It was an option, actually I think it decreases the value. All year Stangs offered p/s as an option, it was first offered on vehicles in the 1930's (Cadillac, I believe, was the first)
