I have a 1995 Mustang and a 2003 Mustang Mach I. Both are in great condition. If I traded both, could I come close to purchasing a Shelby GT 500 without going deeply into debt?

from what i hear they go for about 48 to 50k but if i were you i would wait until 2009. ford is making a gt 500 that is supposed to keep up with the z06 vette. the 2007 model does boast 500hp but is limited to 155mph and lost in just about every comparison to the 400hp vette. im sure you would get pretty gopod money for your trade ins but my advice would be to wait for the 09

the base price is $41 000 for coupe and $45 000 for convertible.... but be ready to pay $10 000 to $15 000 over the sticker for the new one (2008).

and the first guy answering was totally wrong about the super snake.... the super snake package comes to $29 000 for a Shelby owner, so the price of a super snake would be Shelby gt500 + $29 000 = gt500 super snake.

and dont go to ford.com

go to shelbyautos.com

You like everyone else has the urge to buy that new vehicle. My adivce keep your 1995 and/or 2003. The minute you drive off the lot your new vehicle is going to lose at least $10,000 of it's value. Actually a lot of wealthier people buy used cars just because of that... Try going to yahoo's auto section..there you can actually see how much the car is going to cost you in the next 5-10 years. It's actually turns out to be more than you would think

Depends on the value of the car. A GT 500 is a collectors car. It is a piece of junk for the price, but a terrific mustang. You could be rolling a Porsche for the $65k a dealer is asking. Upgrade.

A lot of the dealers are still adding a mark-up to the price. So the final cost will vary from dealer to dealer. I think that they will become worth some money in coming years, expecially if you have Shelby sign the dash or glove box. He usually does this at the SAAC meetings. good luck.

A mustang gt 500 costs around $45,000. and as you know gets 500hp. but if your willing to buy that then give shelby another $50,000 to have them turn it into a super snake, i strongly suggust that. it will cost you your warranty but they can put in 250 extra hp. doesnt the idea of a 750ph mustang sound like fun?

The one at my local dealer is priced at just under $44,000.
Unless your mustangs are super clean and low mileage, I would expect you would still owe $30,000.
