I have a 93 ford 1/2 T. 4x4 w/5.0 and it only gets 10 MPG What can I try to fix this problem

My steering wheel started squeaking when the weather got colder. I think my Ford Escort has power steering. I didn't get the new owners manual. I'm wondering if I need steering fluid, or if the steering belt may need to be replaced.

I drove my car to work today and it ran fine, when I got out of work my car didn't want to start, finally it started, then it died. Took a little longer and then it stalled again, but this time it wouldn't restart. I had someone jumpstart it and still no luck, then we tried push starting it, still no luck. Could someone tell me what the problem might be? Other then it is a Ford... Lately the weather has been below freezing and I was thinking that I might have water in my gas, any ideas?

Vehicle is 4 years old. I began hearing noises, and took it to the mechanic. He says I need a new engine. ($6,000) I purchased the vehicle last year-2005. No extended warranty.
56,000 miles. routine oil changes. What should I do? Did I purchase a lemon?

MY 1992 Ford Explorer's engine has a hole in it. I purchased it last year -2005. I began to hear noises, and took the vehicle to the mechanic. He informed me that I need a new engine. The vehicle is only 4 years old!!!!
and I'm still paying off the loan. A new engine will cost $6000. I didn't purchase the extended warranty. Did I purchase a lemon?

I have recently bought this vehicle, I feel shakey when driving on bumpy roads. I know shaking up and down for bumps is normal but my car shaking right and left.
Is this wheel alighnment problem or shocks/stuts problem?
Can I continue using it with existing condition? Does it become worse if I continue to drive as it is?
Is this normal for sports cars? this is my first sports car.

I have a 96 Ford Explorer. Sometimes at start, the 4 wheel hi and lo lights will blink 6 times. When that happens power windows do not work, nor will engage in 4 wheel drive. It is intermittent, it might last 2 seconds, or a month. It may happen at any moment. I have checked all fuses, all ok. Does not affect drive performance. Any logical suggestions would be appreciated.

I've seen people install 429's and 460's in them, so a v-10 shouldn't be any problem, right? The V-10's are pretty big but no bigger than a 460. I seriously want to do this to mine. I have a 1973. I think it can be done. If anyone knows how to do it or the best way to do it, please help me out. Thanks everyone!!!!!!!!

I am used to 4WD vehicles that have the switch, button, lever, etc. that are ALWAYS in 4WD when engaged. The "Intelligent 4WD" is supposed to kick in automatically.....that worries me!! Has anyone had experience with this in snow?? And if so, did it work properly?

Ford Taurus heater has been having probs in the winter. It gets below zero and it blows warm air, then cold air. Does it pay to just replace the heater core? If the heater core is replaced will the heat work better, or should I not bother? What is the cost of a Ford Heater Core for NY state? How many hours does it take to replace the heater core?

the car has a Steeda cold air intake, dual exhaust with 2 flowmasters, a SCT SF chip reprogrammer with the 93 octane performance tune which also stiffened the transmissions shifts by 25% (can trip the tires when it shifts into 2nd gear). it has an automatic transmission. the car stock has 193 HP and the 0-60 is about 7.6 (i think). if you know what it is for sure please tell me. also if anyone knows what the top speed might be please tell me also. i also have 245/45/17 tires for beter traction which helps out on 0-60 time. thanks.

Does anyone out there have a Ford Labor time book? I have a 2002 Ford Ranger Edge 2WD with a 3.0/Auto drivetrain. I need to have some kind of ideal of how much it will cost to replace the transmission(just labor) I already bought the transmission. I plan on taking it to a regular shop, not a dealership. If someone knows the average price for this job that would be good too.
