NO, smallest was 2300.........Pintos had a 2000 (which is a common Frod Spec race engine now!) and also cam e out in 72 with a 1600..........perhaps someone swapped a Pinto motor in a Mustang II to through you off?

2000cc is 2.0L

i wasnt aware any mustangs had anything so small in them

at least not in the States

but ford itself did have smaller engines than 2.0 such as in the escort, the 1.6 and 1.9

but i dont believe thye were in a RWD cr such as the rustang


europe import cars are odd though, so its possible i guess

the smallest engine in a mustang was 2300cc
used from 1974 to 1993

the 2.3 litre 4 cyl was the smallest engine
the smallest 6 was 2.8 litre ,170 cu inch ,used from 64 to 66

HELLZ NO!!!!!!!!!!! The smallest was the 2300cc I4 of the 80's and 90s.
