i own a repair shop,and the labor book gives one hour on it,,but no-one ever goes by the book anymore on some cars it may take a lot longer to do this due to all the changes that have been made to them,the book is used as a guide ,,not an actual amount to used as as exact billing amount for the job,,i changed some in a Chevy once that took actually 2 hours to change,and all cars are different also,,good luck i hope this help,s.,,have a good x-mas.

I agree it should take about 1-1.5 hours, but like was mentioned, if you have never done it before, it could take longer. It's not about speed as it is about doing the job right. Speed comes with repetition and time, but it's not important unless you are working in a shop or the customer needs the car yesterday. If it takes more than an hour, who cares because none of us will be standing behind you with a stopwatch. I drive an 04 E250 everyday and it's not easy getting to all of the plugs because some you get from the outside and others are from the inside. Good Luck.

If you are an average skilled technician, it should take you about 1 hour to change spark plugs in a 1996 Econoline E-150 Van/Truck.
