well im thinking of hooking up a boss BLX3500M with two kicker 12" l7.
is the amp just going to crap out on me in the short or long run. Never heard of them seems to have great specs though. Maybe almost too good
Any opinions will be taken and any suggestions would be great.
Amp's specs are:
Max Power : 3500W
RMS Power, 4 OHM @ 0.01% THD: 1200Wx1
RMS Power, 2 OHM: 1700Wx1
RMS Power, 1 OHM: 2000Wx1
Frequency Response: 9Hz-250kHz
Signal-to-Noise Ratio: >100dB
Channel Separation: >90dB
Low Pass Crossover: 45Hz-100Hz
High Pass Crossover: 120Hz-720Hz
Bass Boost: 0 -/+ 19dB
Bass Boost Frequency: 45Hz-100Hz

SUBS SPECS:
06S12L72 12" solobaric
Dual 2 ohm voice coils
1500 watts max power handling
750 Watts RMS power handling
87.4 DB sensitivity
20 – 100 K frequency response
6 13/16" mounting depth
11 3/16" cut out diameter

I totalled it up to be exactly $570 after shipping & every thing $370 for the subs together and $200 for amp. Will it bang?

i have a 2006 Dodge Ram Quad Cab and i'd like to replace the factory speakers and radio with a good brand kind. Anyone have any suggestions. and also what size are the factory door speakers?(Front and back)
The reason i'm replacing all this because the whole system sounds real poor. i just want that deep clear bass sound when i turn the radio up, instead of that distorted cheap sound. Anyways, thanks if you can help.

I had a stock Acura rsx system and i really thought that with a new audio system and head unit the reception of the fm stations would improve but i was wrong. I don't even know where the antenna is on the rsx. There isn't one visible. I just want something to will give a better reception so the stations come in more clearly. Any after market products i could buy to improve the problem or better yet will Acura be able to replace the antenna wherever it is

I have an Autotek MX 1500.1 amplifier connected to four Audiofonic 12's (ADF-272 600 rms/ 1200 peak). All are being run by a JVC KDH-L300 head unit.
I was riding around today beating the block down and all of a sudden...*clip* and then there was no bass. I have changed the fuse on my amp, got another fuse holder for under the hood, and disconnected and then reconnected my amplifier...so what else is the to do? Need your help Sparky...lol.

ok so i was at best buy. I had a big audio job done... took out the factory radio (head unit) and trunk unit(amp) - bypassed the amp put in aftermarket radio and new speakers.

everything was tip top working great until i drive home and then i noticed that my back left brake doesnt work... the odd thing is when i actually BRAKE both brake lights light up bright like normal, but when the lights are simply only the right brake light is on.

My brake lights are I think two bulbs each, one for main part that you see from the rear, the other a smaller one on the side of the brake light.

The "side" part of the left brake light works normally, but the main part is not lit at all (however will light up bright when the brakes are pressed). I know this must be a wiring issue and they will have to fix it but anyone have an idea exactly what caused it?

car is a mercedes 350sdl 1991.

thanks)

I recently bought a car with a bulldog keyless entry / remote start installed. It only came with one remote and it is cracked (plastic housing) it still works, but I need to get another one. all of the numbers are worn off. I looked at the circuit board inside and the only distinguishing number I can find is "0042 rev. 4". It has 4 buttons (one of them is red)

any useful advice?

I have a 1998 Toyota Avalon XLS it comes with 6 speakers and a subwoofer. The sound system is rated at 170 watts. However I like listening to rap with a lot of bass and the subwoofer it comes with doesn't throw off as much bass as I want. So my question is, if I buy an additional subwoofer to put in the trunk maybe what else would I need? And would it over power the music, I mean I like a lot of bass but I still want to hear the music. Thanks!

Weird problem...one morning I crank up my Honda Passport and get no sound at all from my car stereo. I have a Kenwood radio and Pioneer speakers (6.5" door and 4" rear). I thought it could be the radio itself, but after taking it out of the dash and putting an old JVC in it didn't change anything. Still, no sound. I checked a 3rd in dash...nothing. The in-dash radio(s) change stations, spin CDs, and do everything they should, but the speakers are dead. What could possibly be the problem? I checked all of the fuses and all seem to be in order. Please help!!!!!!

I have a 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan with the cd, tape player and 6 disc dvd/cd changer. The dvd changer has rca jacks on the front for video and audio. I cant figure out how to get these audio jacks to play through the system. The manual says to choose the aux mode with the mode button but all I can get are ext- disc and sirius satelite besides am/ fm mode. I cant seem to find an aux mode. If anyone knows how to do this please help. Thanks
