I have an Autotek MX 1500.1 amplifier connected to four Audiofonic 12's (ADF-272 600 rms/ 1200 peak). All are being run by a JVC KDH-L300 head unit.
I was riding around today beating the block down and all of a sudden...*clip* and then there was no bass. I have changed the fuse on my amp, got another fuse holder for under the hood, and disconnected and then reconnected my amplifier...so what else is the to do? Need your help Sparky...lol.

But if I were to blow a channel, wouldn't I still be able to play the other two subs??? Or would I have to re-configure everything from scratch?

The first thing to do is see if there's a power light on the amp. If the light doesn't come on, and your fuses are good, then the amp is defective. If there's a power light, disconnect all your speakers. Re-connect them one at a time and see if they'll play. If you have a blown speaker (with a shorted or damaged voice coil) then that will put the amplifier into "protect" mode and none of your speakers will play.

check and make sure you are getting power to both the remote and 12v side of your amp, use the ground on your amp to check this with a test light or multi meter.
if everything checks out leave everything hooked up and remove the rca jacks, if your protection light stays on, the amp is generally history, if it goes off there could be a short in the rca jacks .
just one thing I thought you might want to try.

it sounds like you may have blown the amp completely. You should try another amp or try your amp in a friends car. Something similar happened to me not too long ago and i came to find out that I blew one of my channels.

you eithr blew your amp or your speakers. Your amp is 1 ohm stable, but you have 4 woofers on a monoblock (single chanel), so you are running at or less than half an ohm (.5 ohm).

First check the fuses.
