Ok i have two single voice coil 4 ohm 500w rms 1000w peak audiobahn subs...and a 400wx1 at 4 ohm and 700wx1 at 2 ohm alpine amp...ive seen the pictures of parallel wiring...do i tie the 2 negative wires together and the 2 positive wires together or just put the 2 negatives to the negative terminal and the 2 positives to the positives terminal without tieing them. Im confused lol what do i do?

I have a Pioneer DEH-p4600mp, and i tested the radio in another car and it works perfectly, but I tried to connect it to my car and forgot to disconnect the battery cable. I have checked the radio fuse on the fuse block, and the fuse in the back of the radio both of them are fine. I tested the wires with a voltmeter to see if power was getting through all of the connections it seems i dont have a bad wire so what could be the problem?

I am thinking about buying 2 rockford fosgate punch 15" subs and an 1800 watt amp (also including sub box and wires) from someone that i know. I listened to them last night and they sounded amazing. My question is: Will they amp run off a stock alternator? I drive a 1999 Grand Am GT coupe (in case that helps). He told me that it is a "high-efficiency" amp, which only draws like 30 watts or something like that. Im not sure what brand the amp is either, i forgot to ask that. I really don't want to buy a HO alternator if i don't have too because i heard they are quite expensive. So basically, will this system work in my car without having to purcahse anything else? And is there such a thing as a "high-efficiency" amp?

I was just curious if there was a "definite" answer for this, because I know that the "loud" effect boosts the bass and (this is where I'm not sure) as you turn it up it stops boosting it. I've noticed having the volume at say 25 with the low eq up to 4 or 5 out of 6 sounds worse out of the speakers than having "loud" on high. Would I do better to just get new speakers so I can max bass out and not have to worry about it sounding bad?

I think I might be missing something, because what sounds better on one system isn't always the better option on another system. Maybe I'm crazy? hahaha

The CD player in my car quit working recently, so I'm thinking about buying a new one that they advertise as installing for free at Best Buy or Circuit City. I'm just curious what brand(s) would be best to get and what qualities or characteristics I should look for to get one that's high quality, not too expensive, and I can pop in and out myself (so I can reuse it in another car if need be). I'd appreciate any information also regarding what a good price would be and possibly exact models that you'd recommend. Thanks a lot!!

technicians and extreme audio enthusiasts only need answer. i have engine noise only coming out of one speaker no one knows why. i have taken it to two different shops and neither could really give me any answers. i have went through it all connections are good all hardware works fine. its out of the passenger side 5 1/4 tweeter. here is my setup to help. its in an 05 mustang gt alpine dvd head unit mtx 1501 and 4504(maybe wrong number)amps mtx 9500 sub 2 sets of kicker 5 1/4 components one front one rear and 6 1/2 kicker components in factory sub location. any ideas will be greatly appreciated. my last idea of re-re-retuning(on its 3rd tune) the car helped alot but still get real bad high pitch noise that goes higher with the rpm about a quarter of the time. thanks.

Been shopping around for subs for quite some time. I have my eyes on these two subs because of price but wondering if anyone has any experience with both of theses subs. How's the SQ and SPL. Is the space trade-off worth the other sub, both have the same RMS ratings.
