Hello, I have a 2006 f150 and i thought it was about time for me to upgrade the sound in it. I wanted to buy 1 or 2 subwoofers but i dont know what subwoofers will provide the bass i want with the limited air i can fit in a box. I found several of the boxes that can fit under my seat but i didnt know how loud that would sound. Can anyone tell me a good setup for this truck? I want some heavy bass.
thanks.

I am buying a new car audio system which has MP#, CD, and FM features. I know two things audio system and speaker. Can someone please familiarize me with the functionality of other parts such as Amplifier, Woofer and their usability i.e. what are these meant for?

Is it recommended to have these additional ones in your car?

Any information would be highly useful. Thanks in advance

Cheers!!

I installed a Pioneer 4800MP CD player with all correct wiring harnesses and the converter needed to go to the Bose amplifier in my 2003 Chevy Trailblazer. But it would only play about half as loud as the stock CD player would. Why?

The system i am going to install next month is all Sony Xplod that i posted earlier for the Grand Prix.

I have 2 Xplod 10" subs the amp i bought is a Sony XM-2002GTR - Amplifier - Xplod - 2-channel - 400 Watts x 2 . And this sub enclosure Professional Car Audio Sun Box Carpeted 10" Dual 10D7

My question is. Should i buy another Sony XM-2002GTR - Amplifier so each amp has its own power source. Would that be enough power to make those subs perform loud. Or another amp all togetther whether is is a Sony or another MFG. Any suggestions?

so i just heard bout the digital designs subwoofers. supposedly they r just amazing, flat out amazing quality and so good you only need to buy 1 15"... Ive also heard that the mtx 9500 series woofers are an imitation of the Digital Designs 9500 series, now thats kinda hard to believe for me thats why i need alot of support and opinions from anyone that knows or owns a DD subwoofer.

A friend and I got into an argument over which is the overall better subwoofer. He says the L7 will out pound the IDMAX anyday, which I dont know if thats true or not. I say that the IDMAX will provide huge amounts of bass, but still has a much higher SQ than the L7. Any help is appreciated. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

When I first start my truck the sound will often cut out for several seconds. After the truck has been on for a minute or so it does not happen. Sometimes its only the speakers sometimes the subs too. The subs usually come on for a few seconds then the speakers follow a moment later. Does anyone have any ideas what it might be? Its a alpine ivad100 running to a kicker zx 350.2 for my sub and a kicker sx 700.4 for my components. In a dodge diesel.

I am replacing my stock speakers in my Buick century with higher quality after market speakers. The front doors are 5 1/4 inch speakers and the rear deck holds 6x9 inch speakers. I am replacing both with Polk audio 5 1/4's and 6x9's. Altogether I'm paying about $170.00 an I'm buying from www.crutchfield.com. I have heard that these speakers sound a lot better with an amplifier powering them. I don't know much about amplifiers so I would like to know what would be a good, reasonably priced amplifier to power these speakers with.
