if you get a sirius plug and play model they come with a built in fm transmitter so you can prodgram a set station to use for your satelite radio.the xm plug and plays have built in fm transmitters but they dont work very well at all so they will tell you to buy an accessory to hook up to the back of your radio(its a pain) so go with sirius.i have both and prefer sirius

If your radio doesn't have an AUX button or a CD changer control button; or if you don't want to pay for the auxiliary input adapter, you can use something called an FM-direct adapter. Each satellite radio provider has its own adapter; there's one made for Sirius and another for XM. This connects to the FM output on the satellite radio, or in the case of the XM model it connects to the satellite antenna port. You then have to connect it to the antenna input plug on the back of your factory radio. The adapters usually run for about $20-$30 and can be purchased just about anywhere satellite radio units are sold. If installed correctly, they will provide sound quality similar to a very strong FM radio station.
