using the factory speaker wiring to convert to rca outputs for amp install

LF + light blue/white
LF - orange/light green
RF+ dark green
RF- white/light green

I pulled these colors from a tech support site, but they're not always accurate.

If you're concerned about tapping into factory wiring, you can buy one of these:

If you connect the two together, you'll have a "bridge" that can go between the stock harness and stock radio. Then you can tap into the new wires instead of the factory wires. Also, the after-market harnesses are color-coded and labeled to help you find the right wires to tap. When you're done with the truck you can just pull it out and everything's back to stock condition.

you can do this at the radio use a good hi/low interface or you can also remove te rear speakers and tap there

this are the instructions for the 2000 truck but the wire colors are the same
also remember that some of this vehicles have amplifiers
