I want to swap my ford 5000 rds eon radio cassets to a ford 6000 eon? is it a straightforward job? can i take one out and just fit the other straight in it's place? are the ford cd's and radio's interchangeable?

I've just got a 1997 ford escort and she runs great, the only thing is that it only has an am/fm radio, and I'm going insane. So what I would like to do is purchase an in dash cd player ( the best one for under $150) and then add a couple of subwoofers(I would like to get a package that has the box, subs, and amp together so I don't have to piece everything together, or which subs and amps are the best, I'm trying to keep the subs box and amp under $250) also I will be trying to keep the factory speakers and see how the sound when I install the subwoffers. I've been checking around but there is too many brands and its difficult to determine which are good and are going to last. Now I don't really listen to rap, I listen to mostly hard rock. So any sudgestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Also I know that wiring for the subs, and installation will be extra.

I've looked at this CD player in Halfords. Nothing on the web about Sendai though - I've tried searching. I know nothing about the brand. Do you own one? bought one? are they any good?

I get in my car and turn the stereo on... I listen to music for a couple of minutes and then the sound completely dies.... the display stays on and I can hear the actual cd moving (when it changes songs) but the only way the sound will come back on is if I turn the stereo off for a while (it isnt on long enough to be overheating!) This is extremely frustrating becuase I drive A LOT! PLEASE HELP ME

I have an '02 Envoy that has the Bose system in it. It has great sound, but unfortunately since it's an SUV, it has no strong bass from the back of the vehicle. I want something that'll compliment the Bose sound and would like to know if anyone has ideas as what brand and size of amp/woofer would be best. I don't need something that will rattle the neighbors windows, just something with a clean and rich bass sound.

I have a 2006 Ford Fusion. It has a MP3 6-Disc Changer in dash radio. I have a portable MP3 Player and I want to hook it up to my car radio. Right now I have an FM Modulator so I can listen to my MP3 Player. I want to know if I could hook-up RCA cables to the back of my stereo? Or is there something I can do, so I could have better quilty music? The FM Modulator has to much static.

I have a Sony Car radio that is several years old -- model CDX-ca650x. I believe my Tuner is broken. Stations sometimes fade out and when i change the station, i still here the same station that it was on very faintly. Then the station totally fades out and then i get no radio reception for days ... and then it all of the sudden works again.
The fact that when i change the station i sometimes faintly hear the old station makes me believe it must be my tuner correct?
The CD player works 100% of the time even when the tuner decides not to.
The other question i have is since it is a detachable face, is it possible for me to just be a new face and not have to install a whole new radio?

I have a 2ohm DVC Alpine Type R 12" hooked up to a 750s SoundStream amp. It's wired to 1 ohm which the amp is stable at on a high current setting. The headunit is a Pioneer. Sometimes while listening to music the sub will start rumbling really hard and I will have to cut the stereo off. The headunit has a setting to turn the subwoofer on and off but cutting it off from there dosn't stop the rumbling. It will only quit when the unit is off. Usually when I cut it right back on it will start doing it again. If left sitting for a while (like over night) it will not do it when I turn it on again then. At least not for a while. Everything is hooked up correctly as far as I know. I am pretty knowledgable about car audio and I've never had a problem like this with a system before. I was thinking it might have to do with the fact that I have no trunk liner right now and the amp is sitting directly on the same metal it is grounded to but I'm not sure if that really makes a difference. I've bolted amps down to metal parts before and had no problem so I don't know. If anyone has a clue what may be going on please let me know what I should check. Thanks in advance.

When you turn the radio on it blasts (just when you turn the knob to the lowest on position) and its only coming from the back also the display isnt working or any of the buttons. Any one have an idea what caused this or how to fix it? Its a 97 dodge neon factory casset radio

I had a Pioneer cd player installed at an audio shop. A few days after installation my check engine light came on. A WV dealership could not get the codes using an OBD test to figure out the reason for the check engine light being on & says it may have something to do with the wiring of the cd player. The cd player works perfect. Would anyone know a solution to this problem?
