Alright heres another one. I've got a Alpine 450 watt mono channel amp and 2 10in Alpine 400 watt-200 rms subs, in an enclosed box. Now what I need help on is what wiring kit should I use and how to wire the subs to the amp. The box is already wired and there are 2 separate wire terminals for each sub. I was shopping online and saw an 8 gauge wiring kit for "Pyle" at Target for 16.99, is that a deal or should I get a better one? Thanks for the help everyone!

I have been to Best Buy, Circuit City, and two local stereo shops in town. I have been told by all four that they cannot and will not change out any Honda audio including speakers. There were several reasons but generally the same, the cars ABS, Airbags, and something else is wired into the stereo system. You have to obtain some sort of adaptor from Honda at about $130 for each speaker you want to swap out.
Has anyone been able to swap out speakers or the stereo in a 2007 Civic?

I'm in the Northeast US and had this installed last summer. It's worked great until a few weeks ago. Now when I start up the car the tuner is emitting a high pitched tone (loud enough to be annoying, but not loud enough to drown out the radio/cd/ipod) that goes away after 5-10 minutes. The tone is the same volume, no matter what the radio volume is set too. This appears to have started once the weather got cold. Any ideas on fixing this?

Although it is in good condition I can't get it to play loud enough. Does anyone know how I can increase the volume? I have tryed it through an accoustic guitar amp, but it is still not loud enough.

I own a '97 Pontiac Firebird, and have been having a few problems with playing CDs. The radio and sound system works fine, and playing discs works too, but when I insert burned discs, they usually either don't work or only play the first few tracks on the CD. I'm not sure how to resolve this problem and I really want to figure out to do because most of my good music is on my iTunes, and I really want to be able to listen to burned CDs in my car. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Can the speaker box make 2 one year old Memphis 12's sound like pure crap? I mean they sound ok but not like any other memphis 12's i've heard before. The just sound like they're on their last leg or something.. They just sound like they're not putting out what they should be and i also hear a rattling noise inside the box on both sides. My friend said it sounds like a voice coils are going out. i've never played them hard or anything. The amp i have is a 500x2 watt. I've hooked it up to my friends 12's and it actually made his 12's sound better. Confused! any info will help.

i have one 12" sub & it was working fine, but now it just stopped working. Usually when something is wrong, my amplifier indicates the problem, but right now the amplifier looks normal, but the subs dont work. The amp is powered, so its not the fuse, and the light that indicates if my sub is blown is not on, so i dont think the subs blown. Any idea what could be wrong?

I got a '99 Ford Explorer for Christmas and it has a pretty nice sound system in it, so I don't want to have to rip it out or anything. It's a CD player... but my Q is, can I (and how if I can) hook my iPod nano up to my car's sound system. And, if I can, how do I do so without TOTALLY killing my iPod's battery??
Please and Thnak You!!

Is it possible to replace the deck without having to replace the changer? I have a 1994 Jetta and the CD deck is getting old and the buttons are worn out but I have no problem with the 10 disk changer in the trunk. Can I just swap the deck for a newer one?
