the amplifier is 50w x2 rms i already have nice subs but am inexperienced when it comes to picking out a loud, high quality pair of speakers. im putting them in boxes so size of the speaker does not matter.

response: well i do have another kenwood 800 watt amp, but doesnt something like that blow small 6x9 speakers? i was using it for a sub

here is what i would do... I would go one 12" sub like a Kicker, MTX or HiFonics... These 3 subs are inexpensive and would all sound good with you 800 watt amp... Let me know if you want prices... I will hook you up.

Just try some small speakers your amp isent that powerfull. Try something like 6x9 speakers Sony,Pienner,or Kenwood.

I just asked that question today and the guy that knows something about it said MTX is good these days. You need a more powerful amp though.

that depends on how much quality you want, my top picks are cerwin vega, boston acoustics, and alpine, all are very clear sounding.
