I have a pair of 6x9's in speaker boxes that I want to attach to the inside roof of my Isuzu Trooper, I dont want them on the floor anymore and I dont want to put them into the sides of the truck.I thought it would be cool to hang them from the roof facing forward, because I would get great loud sound and it would save me space plus look good.....How do I go about getting them up there? Do I attach them with some kind of velcro or do I need to drill some kind of shaft into the speaker boxes and find a way to mount them into the roof? Any idea's would be helpfull........thx

I have a JVC Head unit connected with 8 gage wire to a Rockford Fosgate Punch A2 500 watt amplifer powering two 10" Audiobahn D. Jones Edition subwoofers. The problem I am having is after 30-40 minutes of use or less the amplifer is getting very hot, overheating & shutting off. What could be the problem? Circuit City installed everything. The gain & bass are turned very low.. bass is all the way down and gain is almost as low as it goes.

ok.....i bought 2 tens......dude told me to hook the wires to my 2 channel amp.....2 hots to one channel......2 negs to other channel.........sounded great, but, started blowing fuses. amp was getting too hot.....soo he upgraded me subs to a dual voice coil......i ran the positive to one side of sub...........the negative to the opposite side, then ran a bridge wire form one side od the dual to the other...........he told me to hook to the amp like i previously did....2 channels.......2 positives on one channel........2 negs on the other..........speakers dont produce any sound at all..........hope this is a good explanation

Would 2 subs at 500 watts total sound better than 1 sub at 500 watts? Same subs and amp of course, with both configurations at 2 ohms.

..by someone 'in the know' not to have this setup (sub in the boot and 6x9s on the shelf), as the pressure given off from the sub keeps pushing the 6x9s up and end damaging them??

is this true and is it guaranteed to happen or is it just an unlucky 'few' that this has happened to?

cheers
