I'm having the same problem with my clio!

If it's the original head unit, the code will be in the handbook (and that's the code the dealer will give you for about £25-30 with no refund if it doesn't work).

If it's been upgraded or a new unit installed it will have a different number. Post a message on the following forum:

and if the code is available for free, somebody will give you it.

Some of the head unit's (like mine) have to be decoded by a specialist, some do it for about £15 or so.

If you bought the car new, or from someone who had their stuff thogether, you should have been given a little card with the number on it. I've also known some dealers to put a sticker with the code in the glove box when they prep the car. Otherwise, your dealer should be able to look it up with the VIN. No matter what, you're gonna need that code to hear tunes in the car again...

Go to a dealer with the registration document and ask them for the code for the radio they can obtain it off computer records.

Nope. Just bite the bullet, go to the dealer. They will only charge you $30 but at least you will have the code in case you need it again.

Inside front cover of your service book should be a sticker and the code is usually on there
