After replacing the battery I need a 4 digit security code for my 2000 clio's cd player.

I have all the docs for the car, but the cd player came from a girl I used to work with about 3 yrs ago, who upgraded her head unit - I don't remember having a code when I initially fitted it.

It's unbranded, but I presume it's a philips.

you need to check your handbook as sometimes its written in it
failing this u need to give your details to the maindealer of renault near you and they can get the code.
they usually charge but use your charm and they will do it for free..
i used to at volkswagen

If it's never been changed, you may find it's 0000 or 1234. Failing that, search for "radio codes".
The Dealers should be able to find it armed with the info you quote, but they'll require proof of ownership - and may charge you.

Do you have all the docs ? Who first sold the car ? They will have a record at the dealership.
