I am a Board Member for a non profit organization in Missouri that serve's our area's youth. We are in severe need of a donated vehicle (truck or van preferred but any would do). This is not to be auctioned or re-sold. Just one organization that needs one vehicle for use. Age of vehicle not important. Getting from point A to point B is. Can anyone be of direct help or lend advice???? I will respond to all and be more than happy to answer all questions and provide any info to prove this is a legimate organization. Ity could make for a nice tax deduction while helping a worthwhile cause. Thanks

I have an older car (1997 Ford Mustang V6), with a little over 120,000 miles on the odometer. I own title to the car outright, having paid it off in August of 2005. I still like the car, but it is getting old enough now as to where problems are starting to accumulate with it. It needs cosmetic stuff--a new paint job, etc., but it also needs mechanical work. I know for sure for instance that something is wrong with the cooling system--thermostat, radiator, water pump, or something. How long can I realistically expect the engine and/or transmission to hold up? Should I have compression tests or such done on the motor? Or assuming I plan to hold onto this (already old) car for five or more years, should I just up and have a remanufactured engine put in?
Ultimately it all boils down to personal decisions regarding the car, but what are your suggestions as to why I should hold onto this Mustang, or get another car (which would have payments, unknowns, and so forth).

I dont know nothing about cars, but known i wanted alloys, so of we went and bought nice alloys for the car, the garage we bought it from, fitted them, however left the spigot rings off, saying they do not fit, and its not important to have them on. Now we have had our car serviced, the dealership told us there was a problem with the car, our spigot rings were not on, leaving the car dangerous, the wheel could fall off at any time? We went back to the garage and they said they would sort it out for us, however he seems clueless that spigot rings are supposed to properly supplied when buying the alloys. He went through his draw of tools pulling out any other alloy spigot ring to fit on,none them fit, he said he would ring the alloy company to get us a new replacement but seemed unsure of what alloy we had, what size spigot and what car of what year we have. Has he ripped us off? And can trading standards do something about it.

By best way I mean most money. I would like to get enough to pay it off and buy a really cheap used car with what's left. It's a desirable model and fairly new.
