That depends on whether you'll be driving it like a car, or like a truck.
If you're using it to get to work and drop the kids off at band practice, its a great machine. These days, Hyundai is reliable and economical. I drove a Hyundai Elantra for a while, and had no problems. And the gas mileage was a great bonus.
If you're looking for something with some off road/rough road value, then forget it. They're just not made for that.

I would not buy any Hyundai if I were you. Better stick to any other older Japanese, European or American car.
Cars made by Hyundai, KIA and other Korean makes just do not last, and their common problem are poor build quality and cheap materials. In other words what you pay is what you get.

No, it is Korean junk. If you want a good foreign vehicle, go for Honda or Toyota. I reccommend Chevrolet, but it is your choice to decide. On a Chevrolet, Dodge or Ford you would have yourself a good deal. Another good choice would be the Nissan Pathfinder. But with gas prices these days, you'd be better off with a motorcycle. Go with the new Ford Explorer, lots of room for family and good towing power.
