I am not getting many answers I would like opinions on Kias if you have any. IF you OWN one how do you like it? I am looking at the Kia Sorento. Why does the resale value drop so drastically after a few years?

If I get a car from a dealer would it be a clear title? If I get it from a regular person, do I get a title check, how do I do this?

Any book suggestions on how to buy a used car?

I revently bought a used T reg vauxhall astra 1.8L auto from an independant garage. I have approx 2 weeks of my 30 day warranty left. Its had problems from day one. The ECU light for starters wont go away. Its been connected to a diagnostic machine and the fault came up as a oxygen sensor which was replaced. No other faults show up but the light persists. Also, i feel the car is underperforming for a 1.8. I cant afford to keep taking it back to the garage as it costs £15 in fuel for a return trip plus eats up a whole day. I've been twice but to no avail. I think im being fobbed off till the warranty expires. Can i demand a refund? Its not fit for purpose, and was faulty from when it was sold. Also having heater & alarm problems. Im generally unhappy with my purchase. I want to see what options are to me available before i start shouting the odds at the garage. My preference would be to get a refund.

I want to purchase a used car and think that I would save money if I buy from an individual seller instead of a dealership. Will most banks allow this.

i have owned the truck for over 18 years and at the moment i'm laid off from my job. i have kept the truck in tip top shape and wanted to keep it a while longer. there is body rot and the frame is close to not passing the safety inspection. i have changed the oil at 3 months or 3000 miles and know how well i have taken care of it. I just don't want to start throwing good money after bad. There will reach a point when i will have to make a decision on when to let this truck go. I know having this truck so long has made me attached to it and really have loved it, which is why i put the money into it and taken such great care of it. I know the clutch will cost $800 dollars if not more. I know if i keep it any longer i will have to put money in fixing the rot on the tire wells that have gotten bad and possibly i may need to put money into the frame if it doesn't pass the inspection. I'm laided off from work now and didn't want to buy something newer yet, but when would i know?

I recently went and looked at a new car, test drove it and got a quote and everything. The next day we haggled with them and got them down to a price which was comfortable for both parties. Now we are just waiting on the loan from the bank, and i told the dealership that we'd get back with them in a couple of days after getting the loan and then buy. Ive never bought a car before so im scared that they may sell it within those few days of us getting the loan. Would they do that?

I will be out of college soon and would like to treat myself. I don't have any other large expenses, just rent and the usual bills. Would I be able to afford that price on a $50,000 salary? I'm not used to knowing what I can get with a 'salary' job- I am prior miltary. Thanks!

I have a Dodge Viper 2005 and it was in the shop for 40+ days during the first 12 months of owning the vehicle. I wrote Dodge giving them VIN and service records stating I wanted my money back and they sent me an email stating 'we will continue to repair your vehicle'

Has anyone ever returned a car to Dodge under the lemon law of California and what is my best approach?

Proof that I am not lying:

So I have this homework assignment and I need to choose one car/model/year
And get info on the car from 3 different dealerships.

I need to know
Stick Price:
Dealer Prep:(what is that anyways..)
Options:
Kind of Warranty:
Dealership Financing Interest Rate:

Where can I go to get this info fast?
Can't call cuz its a little too late and due tomorrow morning.
Doesnt matter which car/model...if I can get one i can just fake the other 2 dealerships >.> teacher doesn't check this stuff.

Which for a 16 year old thats only going to drive 4-10 miles a day, A Porsche Cayman, or a Lotus Elise?
Either a
PORSCHE CAYMAN
Manual trans, Teracotta(red) interior, black exterior, no extras just basics
or a
Lotus Elise
Manual trans, orange exterior, black interior, all basics

PS. also take into consideration - speed, handles, peformace, styling, eye catch looks or head turning effect, comfort, least theft, realibility(Will start in 5:00 am or not), insurance, gas consumption, which is best for moderate road trips, trunk space, and the one I can bring to college with me, and best to last the longest, SAFETY, & bRaNd NaMe

PS I live in California this might help to make the decision and i need to park it infront of an elementary school and then need to take an hour bus ride to HS and then 7 hours later come back to take the car home.
