low profile tyres flex less and allow higher cornering speeds when other suspension mods are made.(lower, stiffer shocks/springs) they reduce comfort level and are more prone to damage if you clip a curb or similar. Too many are used as a 'fashion statement' by people who don't have faintest idea what they are doing (22"rims with low profile tyres on jacked up vehicles-retarded, looks really stupid)
