Age aint got nothing to do with it (only the State says so).
So, yes you should get a car...
get a USED car, save money, not like you'll get any money out of it later anyways...

P.S.
You don't have to be any age (in most States, some 12 or older, depends on State) to get and drive a Scooter ...
;-)
I have a 49cc scooter it goes 48 MPH & I don't need a license or insurance to have or drive it H3LL I don't even need a license PLATE either to drive it on the road Muhahahaha!
I SAVE SO much money & not to mention money for GAS since I get 82 miles per gallon on my scooter!
I LOVE my scooter!

I have a Vento Zip R3i
Hehehehe
Look at my baby isn’t it SO beautiful?
It looks like a motorcycle LOL!

If I would of known more about scooters in High School I would of gotten one then, & been the only 9th grader to DRIVE to school Muhahahahaha!

Oh and not to mention, any repairs are usually $50 or less. Unlike a Car, my BF’s car’s Struts and Shocks alone costed $1000 can you believe that? The Shocks on my scooter cost $15 bucks!
I got my Mom to buy me the scooter, and I am in charge of maintaining it (which I can c0z it’s SO CHEAP LOL!)
So if you can’t talk your Rentz into getting you a car, try the next best thing.
;-)

P.S.S.
If you're a person who likes speed then you can always Modd your scooter to go faster (but don't let the cops see you going more then 50 MPH c0z you need a license to have anything higher then a 50cc which normally means they expect a street legal non-platted scooter to go about 45 MPH, oh yeah and you have to break in your bike b4 you can modd it), you can modd it to get up to 120 depending on the scooter!
WOw!

This is the scooter I really want b/c it looks like a motorcycle!

Well, you may not agree but that's ok. I think you SHOULD have a car, IF you can be responsible. Or atleast in a position that you will take some part of paying for the upkeep, insurance and payments plus any tickets you get are yours. Drive safe!!

Yes, but be senseable. Remember, its not just the cost of the car payment, but the insurance, oil changes, yearly registration etc... Do you have a job? Will your parents help out? Are there restrictions on drivers with new licences in your area?

YES YES YES YES YES YES i need one too and im 18, ill be getting one soon before i start college. Take into consideration how its going to be paid for though....talk to your parents or if youre independent and you built up some credit already then try financing the vehicle, otherwise talk to the dealer.

Heck yeah. Just be responsible as you learn. Remember that a moving car is a weapon!

If you want one and can afford it, why not? Just remember cost for insurance, maintenance, and GAS, and keep your car in good working condition.
