These are firestone tires, and from what I remember, they have had a lot of tires split, or come apart in some way. Another tire on the vehicle looks like it is going to split and/or come apart soon also. These tires were/are on the front of the vehicle. What is the reason for purchasing road hazard/ tire protection repair/replacement, if it's still gonna cost the consumer just about the same he/she originally paid if the tire needs replacing? Seems to me these retailers are getting over big on us consumers. I did e-mail Firestone concerning my problem, it will be interesting to see the outcome of this. Tires were purchased on 02/05, this is 08/06 and the vehicle has been driven 17,223 miles since the tires were put on the vehicle. Seems the Firestone associates don't and/or won't acknowledge the tire is/was/are faulty. The associate I dealt with originally said it was the car' fault, then he said the tire was overinflated, then he said it was because they hadn't been rotated.
