My husband as an opportunity to work in Singapore for 18 months and make $1500.00 per day. He would obviously live there and may come home once or twice for a week...From what I have read online is that are no taxes for up to $82,000.00+/-. What about the money over the $82,000.00? Any suggestions on how to pay the minimum amount on his money would be apprecited? We live in Mississippi?

Last year I used some of my IRA and when I filed my taxes this year on Turbo Tax one of the questions asked, was this inheirted form a deceased spouse. That made me wonder if I did use the inheirted IRA would I pay taxes on it and if so will it be at a differant rate. It also asked what the basses amount was. Would that be the amount at the time of inheritance?

I was able to get my filing fees paid for, since I was getting a return this year. However, if I had owed the IRS I could have had up to $500 of my taxes paid for me. I only had to spend about 25 - 30 minutes filling out my information on a website, and that was it. All of my H&R Block filing fees were paid back to me. In the end, I was able to get all of H&R Block's protection features for filing with them, but for free!

My husband's income this year was misreported by his employer due to military differential pay. The outcome being that he has been issued a corrected W-2 and a 1099 for the military differential pay. Since we have not yet filed our taxes, do we file BOTH W-2's (the original and corrected) with the 1099, or disregard the first W-2 and just file the corrected W-2 and the 1099?

I used to run a horse rescue with money out of pocket. I have since been placed on disability and can no longer maintain the cost. I do not owe taxes on my disability, but is there anyway to recover any of the opperational cost from the rescue? We had filed for non-profit status but closed before we recieved it.

We have received your tax return and it is being processed. Unless we find mistakes or you owe other taxes, you should receive your refund by March 27, 2007.... ALSO IF I FILED ELECTRONIC, THEN WHY DOES IRS HAVE TO REVIEW , I THOUGHT THATS WHY I PAID THE TAX PREP.

Can we still file 1040A, or is a 1040 mandated? I ask, because the federal internet free files aren't giving us an option for 1040A, which seems a little strange.

Opinions? Advice? Besides having a CPA do it. Perhaps we will...but I want an idea of what to expect first.

I am a 19 year old college student. This year I made $398 at a job. I have arround $700 in interest and dividends from some accounts. From stock/option trading, I have capital gains of about $300 and Losses of about -$3600, so capital gains/loss of about -$3300. I've definitly lost money on the year, so It seems like I sure dont' owe anything.

Also, I will most likely be claimed a dependant on my parent's tax return. Am i required to file?

In addition to R/E taxes on my main home, I pay R/E taxes on 3 time shares. One is in Mexico. I know you can only deduct mortgage interest on a main home and a 2nd home. But what about real estate taxes? Can I deduct them on all 3 time shares?
