I sold a house in 8/2003 with large profit and has been unemployeed/student until now. I didn't report the profit in 2003 and bought a house 8/2005 with that profit. I'll start work next month and like to report taxes but afraid I may be taxed on previous income. And I don't have receipts of remodeling costs, they're lost during move.

Okay I am 20 yrs old, single, never married, no kids. Washington state resident. I just bought a duplex (resedential real estate w/ tenant) It IS my primary residence and I am suppose to live there although I don't. No one knows that. I work under the table (no tax deductions) so I have no proof of income whatsoever. I pay interest for 2 yrs w/ the mortgage I got. I heard a lot about claiming "tax deductions" on the interest, if I work under the table and possibly will get a second just making under $800 a month and I will claim 0. What will the tax deductions on the property give me? Will I get a bigger tax return? Will they pay me back some of the taxes I paid to the mortgage company? Please explain it to me. I deeply appreciate it. Thank You!

Harvard and Rhode Scholars under the US Treasure Department are now reporting the Bush admin. lied and the true national debt will shock many people. If so, the country is bankrupt so the Bush Adm. should be held accountable for wasting our wealth away and why? (See fms.gov) (See Rep. Jim Cooper -TN)

I'm getting a big bonus at work and I'd rather not let the government take nearly half.

Do you agree or disagree that the USA should get rid of the income tax and create a national sales tax? The poor consume less so naturally they would pay less, but with the fair tax they would be able to keep their entire paycheck. It would save time & money in the government by eliminating tax evasion and freeing up the legal system. The Gov. would save billions by not having to process income taxes, and it would eliminate payroll taxes so companies would have more money to spend boosting productivity, while people will have more money to spend which in turn creates more jobs. Thoughts?

Can I enforce the wage garnishment if she claimed bankruptcy, chapter 7, 3 years ago. I have paid my half, but must continue paying IRS or they will garnish my wages. IRS does not care who pays, they just want their money. She has been served with the wage garnishment, how long does she have to dispute it ?
