I got a email saying I won money from mr bill ates lottery. I said yeah rite but then he went and asked my religion. I am so mad.

You can't win a lottery that you never entered.
And private lotteries are illegal in the United States where Bill Gates lives.

This is a scam. Most of these give away things are. You can check them out at http://www.truthorfiction.com or other sites like that. I would never open any give away from anybody unless I linked from a known safe site.
