My 2006 performance is evaluated at the end of the year and got a small cash bonus on Feb 2007. Taxes were taken out when deposited.

When it comes to filing 2006 income taxes, do I include this or do I leave this out till 2007?

Please help.

My husband enrolled in the MBA program via distance learning through the University of Liverpool. I already called the Canada revenue agency and they confirmed that it is a recognized school. My question is this: How do I file this amount? Do I enter the full amount paid (we actually remortgaged the house to pay in full) on the receipt that we have? I am just not sure how this works?

Since becoming a freelance writer three years ago, I have had issues with the yearly taxes. The first year, I paid the estimated tax payments using my S.S. number. End of the year, I filed joint with my husband and there was a delay because I'd filed tax payments under my SS # and not his. The woman at IRS told us we had to pay under both names so that they were linked. I did that and last year ran into the same problem. We were told that it was a glitch in the system that would be fixed.

I just got the notice today that our refund has been delayed yet again because the computer system is not recognizing the estimated tax payments as being linked to my husband - it only links it to me. It was suggested that maybe I just have all my freelance income sent to my husband and only use his SS # in the future. I just don't get it. I know others must successfully work from home doing freelance work, pay their estimated taxes, and then file joint/married. So how do you do it?

I've filed my taxes before but this is the first year I've done it as a college student. I still live at home and my mom can claim me as a dependent. I have 2-3 questions though. The first is about donations. I usually don't do anything with those concerning taxes and I know they changed the rule on that this year. I donate to my church and the church gave me back a statement. It was about $600 dollars. So do I need to use that when I file my taxes and if so how do I do that. Second. I received about 4 scholarships this year for college and I got back around $7000 from unused money which I put in my savings account. My school sent me a 2006 form 1098-T but I've never used this before and I'm not sure how to do my taxes because I thought my scholarships couldn't be taxed. I made a little more than $7000 from my job(part-time) plus the scholarships would add up to $14000. So I wanted to know how to use the tuition statement I got to do my taxes and if I have to include my savings acc too

I have just purchased a pair of Ugg boots from Australia. There was nothing on the website about hidden charges. However I received a letter from Parcel Force saying that I had to pay £42 import tax to have the parcel!!! £42 how can that be right when I only paid £72 for the boots ??? How can they charge such a large amount in tax compared to the low value of the goods ?? Has anyone else been caught out like this? Is there anything I can do as that seems like a highly excessive amount of tax for one pair of boots. xxxx

...I held 5 jobs this past year (I have 5 W2's)...do I add all and put grand total on 1 1040EZ?...at least 2 of these w2's have no amount in the federal income tax with-held section...I also have a joint savings account with interest on it (where does it come into play when filing taxes)?...The person I have the account w/ said I need to record it on my taxes...
...Also I claimed 0 for dependants, but was recently told 2 different stories, 1). I should put 1 to calim myself and 2). I am automaticaly claimed as my own dependent...what's true?...last year filing taxes was easy, the lady at H&R Block looked at my 1 W2 and told me where to put the amount and where to put zero's b/c she wasn't going to do them for me b/c my refund wasn't that big and she would have to take a lot of $$ from the already small refund for doing them...2 of my W2's have taxes of around $1000.00, should I just pay the nearly $200.00 to get them done professionaly or can someone PLEASE inform me what to do??

Is there really a Union Bank of Cote D'Ivoire? Isn't it, its there responsibility to withheld taxes on bank transfer that is being done by there customer? How come they forgot to do it and they even sue my friend friends for giving them wrong information? Is it true also that the Government of Cote D'Ivoire can just seize money because my friend does not pay the tax that is due to the government? It is not that he doesn't like to pay the taxes, it is forgotten by the bank because the bank does not withheld the tax when it should be done by them? My friend cannot raise the money for taxes, can it not be done by deducting the taxes from the money to be transfer by returning first again the money to the bank. Why is it my friend is not allowed to amend the instruction he is suppose to give to the bank? Please advice on this matter. , it is a clean money to be use to make a friend to be back to his normal life and start his business.

I still have not recieved my tax refund! I filed on 2/7, my return was accepted 2/8. I checked my status online last week and they posted that I would receive it by the 20th, then I checked today and it says:

We have received your tax return and it is being processed. Unless we find mistakes or you owe other taxes, you should receive your refund by February 16, 2007.

To sum it up, today is the 16th and there is no refund in my account! I called the bank an they said that there isn't anything pending. The IRS site says that I can't call them until 27th. What's this mean?? Anyone know what's going on?

We generally see a much larger refund then we did this year...

My wife and I filed our taxes with a joint return. Well, now we have to refile separately because of an unforseen circumstance. Does that mean I have to subtract out all of her stuff from the return, refile my return as married filing separately, and then file a brand new return for her? Or, how does this work?
